Send us an email with the following information about the dog you wish to rehome: Dog's name Age Sex Is the dog spayed or neutered? Is the dog current on vaccinations? Does the dog like people? Kids? Other dogs? Cats? Has this dog ever bitten a person? Is this dog house (potty) trained? Is this dog crate trained? Does this dog have any health problems? Behavioral problems? Why are you rehoming the dog? We will contact you and let you know if we will be able to help. If we are unable to help you with placement here are some things to keep in mind when rehoming a dog: Always charge an adoption fee. It is not a good idea to give a dog away for free. If someone can't afford an adoption fee, they can't afford to have a dog. Interview all potential adopters. Make sure you are completely comfortable before allowing anyone to adopt your dog. Require a meeting and make sure that the potential adopters understand that a meeting is not a guarantee that they will get your dog. Make it a requirement that your dog be returned to you if things don't work out. You don't want your dog to end up in a shelter or humane society. |
