Saturdays, Dublin, 10:00-10:50am (next session starts March 17, 2012) - Instructor: Vicki Ronchette
All of our puppy classes are taught by Vicki Ronchette, CPDT, CAP2.  Vicki has been involved in puppy classes for over 20
years.  We believe that puppy classes are among the most important classes that you will ever attend with your dog.
Puppy classes shape how your dog will grow up and relate to other dogs, other people and you.  We take great care in
making sure that each puppy is socialized in a way that benefits him and protects his comfort level to ensure positive
experiences at this critical period in his life.  This is a "make or break" time in a puppies life that even one bad experience
can greatly impact, this is why we do everything we can to make sure that our puppy classes give puppies the best start
    possible.

Puppy socialization class is for puppies between the ages of 2 and 5 months old.  This class is designed to socialize
puppies with other puppies as well as new people and to help owners deal with puppy issues such as potty training, biting,
jumping up and more.  We also get the puppies started on learning the fundamental obedience behaviors such as sit,
down, come and loose leash walking.  Owners should bring a 6 foot leather, nylon or cotton lead, buckle or snap collar and
treats, as well as proof of shots.  Puppies must have had at least 2 shots and puppies over 4 months old must have had
their rabies shot.  This is a 6 week course.  We offer a 10% discount on the second puppy for clients registering two
puppies for the same class.  10% discount good for Puppy Preschool class only.
    No class 2/18

Rally exercises from both APDT and AKC, as well as the similarities and differences in rules and scoring between these two
venues.  Rally is great fun whether you are interested in competing or just looking for a new and challenging activity to try
    with your dog.
Dogs must have completed at least a Beginning Obedience/Manners class or have the fundamentals of sit, down, stay, and

Please read this before attending conformation class or contacting us for conformation
We offer the only clicker/positive conformation classes in the area and are referred to by many other trainers for our
    specialized approach to conformation training.

The conformation drop in classes will help you get your dog ready for the show ring.  Aggressive or dog reactive dogs will
not be permitted to participate in group conformation classes.  We will occasionally not have conformation class so please
contact us to make sure class is happening before showing up if you are not on our conformation email list.

Our drop in conformation classes are open to anyone regardless of their level of experience.  One private conformation
session may be helpful to people just getting started but it's not required.  The only requirement is that you use only
positive reinforcement in our classes.  We do not use leash "jerks" or "pops" or other compulsive methods and do not
permit those methods in our classes.  Anyone using corrections or intimidation will be asked to leave.

Note: Our drop in conformation classes are not simply practice classes, we do give instruction and work on specific training
    issues for show dogs.

Occasionally our drop in conformation classes will be canceled.  Please subscribe to our blog or "like"us on
Facebook to receive updates about these classes.

Skill Building for the Show Ring (5 weeks, 45 minutes, $120)
Thursdays, Dublin, 7:30-8:15pm (next session TBA) - Instructor: Vicki Ronchette
This brand new class will include practice run throughs as in our drop in classes but will also include group class drills and
skill building exercises to give students more practice on the individual show ring behaviors.  It should be a lot of fun!

Clicking for Conformation (5 weeks, 50 minutes, $150)
Thursdays, San Leandro, 6:30-7:20pm (next session starts March 8, 2012) - Instructor: Vicki Ronchette
This course will help people wanting to get started with clicker training their show dogs.  We will work on teaching the dogs
to stack, gait and accept examination.  While this is a class to teach conformation or show ring behaviors, dogs need not be
show dogs to enroll.  This class will help dogs learn to accept handling and everything worked on is appropriate for pet
dogs as well.  Do you have two friends that you would like to do this class with?  Let me know and we will schedule a semi
private class just for the three of you.  The cost for Clicking for Conformation for Three is $200 per person.

Conformation Training, Private sessions (Initial one hour session $110, then $100 per hour)
Conformation training is dog show preparation training.  We offer the only clicker/positive conformation classes in the area
and are referred to by many other trainers for our specialized approach to conformation training.  Private conformation
coaching and training is typically held in our San Leandro facility or at a San Leandro park (if we need to do outside work).

    Small Dog Play Group
Wednesdays, San Leandro, 6:30-7:00pm - Play Group Supervisor: Yvonne Chohan
We offer a Small Dog Play Group for owners of small dogs who want a safe, supervised place for their dogs to interact with
other small dogs.  Candidates for Play Group are small dogs (under 20 pounds) that get along well with other dogs and
people.  New dogs will be evaluated at their first visit to determine if they are a candidate for our Play Group.  Dogs that are
aggressive with other dogs or people will not be allowed to participate.  Dogs who are shy or fearful may be permitted to
participate if the Play Group Supervisor determines that including the dog will be beneficial to that dog as well as other
dogs in the Play Group.  Our Play Group works well and is beneficial to many dogs, but there are some dogs who simply
don't do well in large groups of dogs.  Dogs who don't play appropriately or are too rough may not be a candidate for Play
Group.  Cost is $7 per visit, or you may purchase a discount card for $20 for 4 visits.
